It’s that time of year again; the Lopez Cooperative Preschool’s Holiday Bazaar is right around the corner. The bazaar will be held on Saturday Nov. 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lopez Island K-12, and will feature the work of talented local artisans and craftspeople. Space is still available for more vendors. If you are interested in being a part of the bazaar, please contact Erin Saunders at lcpbazaarreg@gmail.com. Delicious homemade baked goods will be for sale as well as food from Lopez’s local food trucks.
Thanks to the generous support of local businesses and individuals, the preschool raffle has a quick growing list of prizes. Purchase raffle tickets at the bazaar as well as from parents at Lopez Village Market and Blossom Grocery in the days leading up to the bazaar.
The holiday bazaar is the primary fundraiser for the preschool, and proceeds go towardsoperating costs and providing scholarships for families in need. After scholarships, the money is used for classroom enrichment programs and materials.
Vendors donate 15 percent of their revenue to the preschool, and the event is organized entirely by parents who have a child enrolled in the preschool program.
This event is a great opportunity to do a little early holiday shopping while having fun interacting with islanders and their friends and family.
