The Weekly is back but it’s a bit different

Since April 7, the Islands’ Weekly has been published within the pages of the Islands’ Sounder.

It was a necessary measure in the face of revenue loss after local businesses closed during the COVID-19 stay-at-home order.

Now the Weekly is back, but we’ve changed how it’s being delivered. In your hands is the last free edition of the paper. Starting July 7, it will only be delivered to those who subscribe and will no longer be in all residents’ mailboxes for free.

The cost is $60 per year for those in the county and $75 for out-of-county addresses. You can sign up at https://www.islandsweekly.com/subscribe.

Back in April, many of you subscribed to the Sounder in order to continue to receive the Lopez paper. Those who did that will now receive a complimentary subscription to the Islands’ Weekly for the duration of your Sounder subscription. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support.

In addition to subscribing, we ask you to consider placing an ad in the Islands’ Weekly. It promotes your business and supports local journalism. We also hope islanders submit news releases and human interest stories to editor@islandsweekly.com. Please help us build the Weekly back up to the community news source it has always been!
