Submitted by The Lopez Food and Business Center.
The Lopez Food and Business Center project seeks to support economic opportunities for local farms, businesses, and organizations by providing infrastructure support and business services.
This potential Lopez-based center will house three food and community benefit organizations: LIFRC’s Food Share (Food Bank) Program, Taproot Community Kitchen, and the SJI Food Hub for Lopez distribution.
Additional services to the community may include (but are not limited to):
• Storage space (dry, refrigerated and frozen)
• Commercial kitchen for value-add production and direct-to-consumer
• Business services, meeting space, co-working space, and retail space
• Distribution and cross-docking (transitions between point A and point B) services
• Pop-up and event space, classroom or workshop space, and more
If you can make use of these or similar types of services, take this survey!

The Survey will be “live” until Feb. 15, after which it will no longer be available, so don’t wait! Let us know how this facility can best support your business, farm, or organization.
