Lopez Island Grange is hosting its annual summer FUN-raiser on Sat. July 22. From 12-4 p.m., see what the Enchanted Quilters have stitched up this year. They’ll also have two barn quilts on display and up for raffle, with all monies raised to support the Grange’s building maintenance and restoration fund.
A barn quilt is a quilt block representation painted on a piece of plywood. A barn quilt can be displayed on a barn, house, shop, etc. Each barn quilt measures 4’ X 4’ and is lovingly painted by The Enchanted Quilters. Our motto has always been, “If you don’t have a barn, we’ll find one for you!” Raffle tickets can be purchased in person –or- online at the Grange’s website: www.lopezislandgrange.org/store.
The fun continues at 6 p.m. with a community potluck. Feast with your neighbors, then dance it off at the square dance with The Southend Stringband from Lopez starting at 7:30 p.m. All dances are called and taught by Amy Carroll from Seattle. No experience necessary! Tix at Door: $15 Adults, $5 Teens, 12 and under FREE. Barn quilt winners will be drawn at the square dance. More info: lopezislandgrange@gmail.com. The grange is located at 452 Richardson Road.
