Award-winning songwriter Diane Patterson subverts the dominant paradigm and sings the world awake with rocking acoustic guitar.
Using guitar and ukulele, a mighty pen, and a woman’s voice. Since 1989, Patterson has weaved her original mystic acoustic Americana and unifying stories, planting seeds of love and revolution.
Diane’s 2022 release, Satchel of Songs, was produced by Mike Napolitano (Ani DiFranco, Squirrel Nut Zippers) and featured renowned supporting artists Terence Higgins, Todd Sickafoose, Barbara Higbie, Alice DiMicele, Janelle Burdell, Joe Craven and Ani DiFranco.
Based in Northern California, Diane started her musical journey playing guitar in church as a kid, moving on to blues, reggae, and world music. Her songs honor ancient people and the land and speak of reconciliation and peace while being ever-hopeful for a bright future. Garth Thomas of Hollywood Digest remarked about Patterson’s live show, “impassioned delivery, sparkling musicianship, and sharp lyrical skill. A performance intoxicated with the spirit of creation.”
