This year’s theme aligns with the newly developed San Juan County Food System Plan. The Summit will provide a space to envision a resilient and abundant food future while equipping participants with practical skills to make it a reality today.

• Hands-on workshops at various locations around Lopez Island.

• Community social event “Small Plates, Big Table” at the Lopez Community Center. Enjoy local foods, network with peers and attend a book signing featuring our keynote speaker, Reginaldo Haslett-Marroquín.

Saturday, March 1

• A full conference day at Lopez School featuring dynamic sessions and a keynote address by Haslett-Marroquín, CEO of Tree-Range Farms. His keynote, titled “Regenerative Living: A Call to Embrace the Abundance Among Us,” will guide attendees through an inspiring journey. Despite having grown from extreme poverty Haslett-Marroquín speaks from a place of abundance as he walks the audience through an opening mediation. Centered on a lifetime dedicated to regenerative thinking as expressed through his three decades of work launching a regenerative poultry system, Haslett-Marroquín will guide us through his own life path and the parallel experiences and struggles that farmers and communities face across the planet as they seek to find a way to live regeneratively.

New this year:

• A dedicated youth program for ages 6-18. Sessions will include hands-on activities such as working with wool, exploring cross-cultural Traditional Foodways and egg incubation. Youth tickets are available for $30.
