The Caterpillar Circus: 2–4 p.m. This is a library-sponsored event by the Northwest Puppet Center. Professional puppet shadow master Dec Chase will teach you how to make colorful, articulated caterpillar shadow puppets. Then she’ll help you train your caterpillars to go on an obstacle course in preparation for the grand finale — the Caterpillar Circus! Age 5 to adult. Space limited. Registration is necessary. The Role of a Community Foundation in the Sustainable Funding & Operations of Local Non-Profits: 1–3 p.m., Lopez Library. Pamela Gross & Charlie Anderson of SJI Community Foundation discuss the relevance of a community foundation in the funding of Lopez Island non-profits and explore mechanisms that might facilitate that objective.
