Citizens of San Juan County have formed an official Ballot Committee to gain signatures to authorize a renewal of the Land Bank on the November 2011 County ballot. The committee asks friends, neighbors and other registered voters for their signatures.

Petitions can be found on Lopez Island at La Boheme, Isabel’s Espresso and most Saturdays at the Farmers Market and at the Shaw General Store on Shaw Island.

On Orcas you can sign the petition  at The Orcas Hotel, Deer Harbor Marina, Doe Bay Resort and Retreat, Crow Valley Pottery, Peter Fisher Photography, Orcas Homegrown Market and Deli, and the Farmers Market.

There are also petitions to sign at Acanthus Fine Antiques and Decorative Arts, Café  Demeter,  Island Bikes and Market Chef on San Juan Island.
