Chimera Cooperative Art Gallery – “Reflections of Lopez,” Chimera Gallery Show, July 12-August 8. Opening Night reception: July 12, 5-7 p.m., in the gallery in Lopez Village. Featured artists: Tina Finneran – jewelry, Tamara Shane – mixed media and sculpture, Craig Withrow – blacksmithing and decorative functional metal work. Join us for refreshments and good conversation. In June, July, and August the gallery is open Monday 10-5,  Wednesday through Saturday 10-5, Sunday 10-3 p.m. Closed Tuesdays

Colin Goode Gallery and Studio – Two exciting months are ahead for our gallery. This week we opened a show celebrating new works of five Lopez Island artists. Friday, July 11 marks another Opening Reception for our first two-person show. Lane Langford will surprise us with 16 new paintings in acrylic gouache, and Molly Preston will show stunning landscapes in oil on archival paper. During August, Lopez will be wooed by the paintings of Ellen Fisher and Hildegard Goss, youngest and oldest Lopez artists. “Escape to Lopez” is the name of our August show at Depot Gallery in Anacortes, with an eclectic range of work by twelve Lopez artists. Our gallery is located opposite the Farmers’ Market at 95 Village Road.

Lopez Artist Guild – Featuring Randy Kelts, Michael Rust, Patie Savage, Kate Scott, June 27 to August 5. Opening reception: Friday, June 27, 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Lopez Center for Community and the Arts.

Orcas Island

The Lambiel Museum – 668 Olga Rd. Orcas. View work from 1915 to the present of over 200 outstanding San Juan County artists. Open every day for guided tours by appointment. Allow about two hours. $10/person. 376-4544.

San Juan Island

Westcott Bay Reserve Sculpture Park and Nature Reserve – At entrance to Roche Harbor. Take a self-guided tour of over 100 sculptures by island and Northwest artists. Open dawn to dusk. $3 suggested donation. Info: 370-5050.
