When Ronnda Cadle was about 15 years old, a song on the radio changed her life. The song was “Crazy On You” and, as Ronnda says, “I asked someone who the guy was playing the guitar…they said that someone was a woman.”

The musician was Nancy Wilson from the band Heart, and Cadle’s brief exposure to that song inspired her pursuit of a music career. Now, Cadle is bringing her guitar to Lopez. She will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 28 at the Grange Hall.

Cadle is originally from Baltimore, and honed her musical style in Georgia. However after time on the road she found a more permanent place in the Pacific Northwest, “I don’t know if it’s the scenery or the calmness of atmosphere, people are more laid back here.” Cadle is also working on a new cd produced by former Windham Hill Founder William Ackerman and Grammy winning engineer Corin Nelsen.

Audiences can expect “a very nice evening of mellow guitar instrumental music,” says Cadle, adding that that she prefers the small, intimate venue space to anything larger. She will perform solo on her guitar, and will play what Cadle calls “contemporary.instrumental music”
