We are now into March, and all is happening as predicted; Jupiter entering aggressive Aries and squaring transformative Pluto initiated the elimination of fear in the face of tyranny and we saw Egypt topple her oppressive government. Make no mistake though, it will be a difficult and challenging journey for Egypt and her people as critical decisions must be made in order to move forward. At the time of this writing, Libya is exploding with the same intent, along with other countries. Some of our own states are also rising up against devastating proposals that will adversely affect many.
I am watching the massive compression that occurs when a big, slow moving, generational planet (in this case, Uranus) prepares to change signs. Uranus will move into combative Aries at the end of next week, and I expect that we will see more of the same, along with concussive consequences. Last time Uranus was in Aries, the Third Reich was rising. As evolution would have it, such regimes are now being torn down. Uranus doesn’t care how anyone feels about anything; it doesn’t play nice and it takes no prisoners. It seeks out weaknesses and goes for the throat. This is the fuel of change, of the breaking down of the walls that bind us or restrain us. On a personal level, Uranus in Aries will force us into decisive action as it tours this very active sign which is the pushing through of the seedling through the dark soil and into the light of the Sun where an enormous transformation takes place and photosynthesis becomes the new method of taking in energy in addition to soil and water.
Of course we will see the effects of these times; inflation, rising fuel prices and a further tightening of the belt. Rather than complain, we must adapt, and if we’ve been dong our homework (which the San Juan Islands have been diligently doing), we will be able to ride this out together and become stronger communities for it.
This week, the New Moon in the water sign of Pisces will be the fifth element that will drop the treasure we’ve been seeking within ourselves. Use it well, make some collective/cooperative plans and let’s ride this planet as she moves into yet another era that will go down in the history books.

Gemini (May 21- June 20): Finally, you have air! Powerful Venus sails into your fellow air sign Aquarius, helping you find that critical pocket of oxygen to hatch plans and party ideas! We’ve finally made it to March, and you’re more than ready to get your boogie on and spread your cheer. If others are glum, find a way to yank them out of it and make it so everyone walks away smiling. If you are down in the dumps, crank up the music, dance the baddies away and get together with a best friend for a good chinwag.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Emotions are likely flying due to so much activity in your sector of Expansion; the zodiac is waterlogged at the moment, and with no clear sense of direction jumping out at anyone, this week could be fairly unstable. Be sure you don’t go flying off the handle at the wrong thing, since current conditions in the world have everyone on edge no matter how safely tucked away they are.
