Last year’s Christmas tree chipping program diverted approximately three tons of Christmas trees from the landfill. So the County Public Works Department decided to do it again by mulching trees for a public project. Reduce the volume of holiday trash by bringing clean, undecorated natural trees to your island’s solid waste facility during open hours.

There will be no charge for trees brought by Dec. 30, but between Jan. 2 and 15, each tree is $5.
