In addition to the harm to citizens in San Juan County and surrounding communities, the Growler jet noise is destroying the serenity of our public places. U.S. Representative Derek Kilmer called for a new study of military jet noise over Olympic National Park. Kilmer urged the National Park Service to collect new noise samples and data for the Federal Interagency Committee on Aviation Noise (FICAN). He also asked FICAN to review the NPS findings along with previous studies from other agencies like the Department of Defense.

We should demand a similar study for San Juan Island National Park and the Bureau of Land Management land in our County.
