Applications will be accepted for this open position through November 20, 2017. Candidates must be a resident of district 3 as evidenced by an OPALCO membership with a residential meter in their name. For full requirements, please see OPALCO Bylaws, Article III, Section 2.
The elections and governance committee will select a slate of qualified candidates to present to the board. As stated in OPALCO bylaws Article III, Section 4, “A vacancy occurring in the Board of Directors shall be filled by the election of an energy member resident of the same district as the director whose office is vacated, by the majority vote of the remaining directors, and a director thus elected shall serve for an unexpired portion of the term or until his or her successor shall have been elected and shall have qualified.”
