My belated compliments on your coverage of the vessel-noise impacts on orcas in the Jan. 17 edition of the Sounder, especially Mandi Johnson’s excellent article about Rob Williams’s SeaDoc Society lecture on the topic.
This is an issue I’ve followed for several years, reading some of the scientific literature (including papers by Rob) and discussing it with Val Veirs, among others. Mandi did a fine, detailed job of covering the major points in his lecture, at which he ably answered a question I asked at the end.
I also appreciate your editorial on the issue.
Keep up the good work!
