As a Lopez Island School board member I urge you to get your levy ballot in soon. The levy renewal is at the same rate (76 cents per $1,000 assessed value) it was for the previous four years. Your vote is critical to the children, their families and all other residents of Lopez Island. The school levy is on the back of the ballot you have already received — make sure you turn it over. Please don’t wait, deadline is Aug 7, 8:00 p.m. You can vote by mail before 3:00PM on that day at the Lopez Post Office or in the drop box in front of the fire station by 8:00 p.m. that same day.
