We appreciate Rick Hughes for championing renewable energy in San Juan County. As a community member, he has led by example with his own residential solar installation; as a business owner, he is investing in solar that will transition Eastsound into a sustainable and green village; and as a County Council member, he has led the way for a project that will be the second-largest solar array in the county. Renewable energy choices like solar not only increase our energy resilience in the islands but help to reduce energy needs from hydropower, whose dams impact endangered species like salmon and southern resident killer whales. Thank you for your support of renewable energy in the San Juans!
