I recently ordered two books from Amazon and was shocked that with shipping and handling, the bill was for more than what our Lopez Bookshop would charge and the books would be in your hand in the same amount of time, unless you don’t come to the village often enough to pick up your books.

When I spoke to the new owners, they said additionally they now off to buy back books that you’ve bought at their store, so barely used books are now available.

I’m now completely committed to shop Lopez Island and reward the island entrepreneurs for providing all the great services we enjoy in our community.
