I should like to add my name to those who have spoken in support of renewal of the Land Bank.

In the past, a decision was made to preserve certain valuable, sensitive, and scenic areas for the continued enjoyment and satisfaction of the residents of this county, and visitors to our islands. In so doing the Land Bank has assured us that certain of our water sources, forests, wildlife habitats, and shorelines have been preserved and will be sensibly managed to perpetuity.

In addition valuable productive farmland has been preserved as such. Given the rising cost of transportation the residents of SJC may need this resource to supply our basic needs.

We must expect that our population will grow, but must be assured that that growth will not spread unchecked throughout our county.

I therefore recommend that you vote yes on on measure 1
