San Juan Community Theatre is proud to present Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” adapted and directed by the theater’s Executive Artistic Director Nathan Kessler-Jeffrey. There is an opportunity to view Kressler-Jeffrey’s abridged play on Lopez, Orcas and San Juan islands.
This version features five actors playing all the parts in 90 minutes with no intermission. Starring Brad Fincher as Scrooge along with Jim Hopper, BooBoo James, Kate Luebkeman and Chelsea Parrott.
The show premieres at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 14, at Lopez Center. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for youth and are available from lopezcenter.org; Blossom Grocery; Paper Scissors on the Rock ;and Lopez Bookshop.
The following night, the actors sail to Orcas to perform at 3 p.m. on Dec. 15, at Orcas Center. Tickets for that show are tiered pricing depending on the patron’s ability to pay. Full-priced tickets are $47, standard tickets are $25 and subsidized are $15 and can be purchased at orcascenter.org.
The show opens on San Juan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19 at San Juan Community Theatre, and runs Friday through Sunday at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee performance at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
