John Waugh is giving Lopezians the chance to play chess at the lopez Library. On Wednesday at 7 p.m., there will be the opportunity to come, play chess, or learn about the game. You don’t have to be good to come along.

Waugh previously ran a regular chess club at the library, hosting ages as diverse as 5-80. However this will be a one time event. You don’t have to bring a chess board as Waugh, who previously ran a chess club when he taught school in New York, has a large collection.
