Friends of the Lopez Library Book Sale Saturday November 24 At The Library

Everyone loves the Library Book Sale! This year you can combine your holiday shopping by attending the Pre-School Bazaar and the Library Book Sale on the same day.

The Community Meeting Room at the library will be transformed on Saturday, Nov. 24, into a dazzling display of donated books in beautiful gifting condition, perfect for anyone from babies to great-grandpas. This sale will include samples from many genres and interests. As always, prices range from 50 cents for children’s books to $2 for hardbacks in pristine condition.

These books donated by passionate Lopez readers do more than give pleasure the second time around. Your purchases at the Friends of the Library Book Sale support many truly memorable library programs. For instance: author events like the incredible presentation on owls given by photographer Paul Bannick to a packed audience at Lopez Center; the ever-charming Teddy Bear Picnic out on the library lawn, delighting a young audience attending with their precious bears; the very hummable tunes from recent Memory Café programs; and the nationally admired musical instrument-lending program that may send a Lopez musician to Carnegie Hall—or at least out in public with proudly learned musical skills.

Don’t you just love the Library Book Sale every year? Stop by from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, at the library Community Meeting Room for your winter treasures. The Famous Red Bags will be on hand too — fill one with books for $20. Stock up, because there won’t be another sale till 4th of July! THAT sale will be at Lopez Center, but this one is at home in the Lopez Library.
