The seventh annual Great Pairings event debuts May 20 at the Lopez Center. Great Pairings is a fun food and wine event which pairs five 2017 releases of Lopez Island Vineyards wines with five food courses prepared for each wine by some of our favorite local chefs. All proceeds benefit Lopez Children’s Center, the only licensed early learning center on Lopez Island.
This year’s slate of food personalities include Bruce Botts of Vita’s, Nick Coffey of Ursa Minor, Payton Snook of Edenwild and Haven, Brian Forkan of Adrift in Anacortes, and Andre Entermann of Sunnyfield Farms. Also on hand to tell us about the pairings will be Brent Charnley, award-winning winemaker/owner of Lopez Island Vineyards and Winery.
The food courses will be punctuated by entertainment from some of our most talented young island performers, many of them alumni of Lopez Children’s Center. The evening also includes a short live auction of art, creative pieces and memory making activities.
Reservations can be made by calling Lopez Children’s Center at 360-468-3896 or by visiting Paper Scissors in the village.
