The Lopez Island Family Resource Center has two holiday programs: Thanksgiving baskets and the Spirit of Giving Program.

Each year the Lopez Island Family Resource Center coordinates the Thanksgiving Baskets Program, which helps ensure that Lopez families and individuals are able to eat a Thanksgiving feast by providing, upon request, a box full of vegetables, fruit, bread, cider, pie, turkey and more!

The Spirit of Giving Program offers gift cards and food vouchers to families with young children so they can purchase what they really want and need. Parents delight in the opportunity to make their children’s dreams come true, and they don’t have to worry about going hungry to make that happen.

There are several ways to contribute to the Spirit of Giving Program. Picking up a tag on the holiday trees in Lopez businesses and buy the item, donate cash, gift certificates, or basic need items at the LIFRC office, by mail at PO Box 732, or by secure online donation at www.lifrc.org. Gift certificates should be brought or mailed to the Family Resource Center by December 10th, so that families have time to do their holiday shopping. Donations of any size are always appreciated.
