This is Funny…

This retrograde Mercury has a very curious twist to it now. It is forming a beautiful trine (very harmonious aspect) with powerful, transformative Pluto, who is also retrograde. This is a rather difficult thing to interpret but I’ve decided to interpret it as good news since the two planets involved involve communication with the conscious/unconscious respectively, and they could reverse roles and cross-dress as each other. Wow, this is the coolest kind of weirdness an astrologer could ask for!

We’ve seen the early phases of the current Saturn/Uranus opposition with Greece going bankrupt, the Goldman Sachs hearings (whose actions helped bring the house down in the first opposition in ’08), fists and eggs flying in foreign governments, the new immigration laws making everyone edgy, etc., etc. Holy cow, the planet has been very busy.

In our little lives though, we are a village of people scattered far and wide, watching together. These times are the fodder of amazing stories of survival, escape, trials and tribulations and different perspectives.

Steady as she goes this week; Mercury goes direct next week and will trine Pluto again. Wow. There is almost too much to report so let’s just have a barbecue and chill out, okay?

Aries (March 21- April 19): After last week, you are hopefully recovering; although Mercury is still retrograde in your financial sector, you know the drill and are hopefully keeping yourself above water. The week starts with a weird trine (harmonious aspect) between Mercury and transformative Pluto, who is also retrograde in your sector of career. This could be the stroke of good luck for you, as a situation arises that benefits you by accident.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Retrograde Mercury in your sign forms a beautiful aspect with Pluto, retrograde in your sector of Expansion/Spirituality. If you are involved in a legal battle, your opponent is likely to make a mistake now and it will be in your favor. You are able to gain enormous value from hindsight this week and correct your course. Plant pretty stuff and get ready for a very active summer.

Gemini (May 21- June 20): With Venus on your side, you are going places where others fear to tread. Old connections come back to you now, and comparing life stories is a great pastime. You are surprisingly grounded now, even during this nutty retrograde. Your Ruler Mercury forms a lovely aspect with retrograde Pluto (the Transformer), and you glean helpful information from a life-altering event in the past. Good stuff!

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Before you get defensive, remember that this retrograde Mercury is super powerful, especially now. Pluto is retrograde in your sector of relationships and retrograde Mercury in your sector of friends/goals has an odd effect in terms of your forward progress. You have to come to terms with your past actions in order to clear the slate for yourself. This is a very powerful time with long-reaching effects. Make it good.

Leo (July 23 – August 22): Retrograde Mercury in your sector of career forms a lovely trine aspect with transformative (also retrograde) Pluto in your sector of work/health. It appears that something at work will kick in to boost you in a direction you had hoped for in the past but given up on. Be very careful with your money now and don’t take any risks or let anyone talk you into taking one.

Virgo (August 23 – September 21): Retrograde Mercury in your sector of expansion/spirituality forms a trine (harmonious) aspect with transformative Pluto and if you were born early in your sign, you are reaping the benefits. This is the classic “making lemonade” scenario for you. This is your chance to make good, so don’t miss it! What a powerful week this is. You will see the results of it in the near future.

Libra (September 22 – October 23): Mercury and Pluto, both retrograde, form a harmonious aspect with each other. This is quite amazing and very rare. You will have an opportunity to grab a treasure from the past and make it into something beneficial for the future. These opportunities are in your solar sectors of shared assets/intimacy and Home. Looks like real estate stuff is shifting around, possibly an inheritance or settlement.
