This organization is now in its 23rd year of providing absolutely awesome fireworks to the Lopez community, friends, family and visitors. It is an all volunteer organization, which is very unique in the pyrotechnic industry.

One of the ways that the organization raises funds for the purchase of those wonderful fireworks is the selling of “Fireworks” T-shirts, sweatshirts and hats. The organization has had a different design and color for the shirts every year. In the early years they were screen printed on Lopez Island by Wayne Smith, who is also one of the volunteer members, and one of the original organizers. In recent years the organization has had them screen printed off-island. The last few years the girls at Zippy Dogs in Seattle have been doing the screen printing. We are sure you will agree that they do a beautiful job. All of the designs have featured vector (computer) renderings from our own fireworks photos or drawings from local people. The shirts are dated, and have become collector’s items among the fans of the Lopez Fireworks. Some people boast that they own one from every year.

This year the shirts’ color is a dark navy. Have you noticed that some people have black shirts? Black shirts are worn by committee members, who work tirelessly to create an outstanding show for the community. This year’s design features a vector rendering of Lopez Fireworks lighting up a map of the island. Lots of glitter make these shirts stand out in a crowd. Wear your Lopez Fireworks shirt with pride!

You can purchase these wonderful shirts in a variety of styles, a regular T-shirt, regular sweat shirt, hooded sweatshirt, and zip sweatshirt. The Chamber of Commerce is also pre-selling the Lopez Community Fireworks Salmon Barbecue tickets. $18.00 for Adults and $10.00 for children.
