Nature Rx: A health and wellness walking series with the Land Bank

Join the San Juan County Conservation Land Bank every third Thursday evening at 6:30pm, July through September, for an opportunity to spend time on Land Bank trails with local health care professionals. This free event is a pilot program to promote health and well-being through physical activity, health education, and social connection.

July 18, 2024: Dr. Steven Hoang, DO, PeaceHealth | Zylstra Lake Preserve, San Juan Island

August 15, 2024: Dr. Mandy Gullah ND, LMT, Living Medical Arts | Mount Grant Preserve, San Juan Island

September 19, 2024: Andrea Jakus Wight, MPT, PeaceHealth | Redtail Trail at John O. Linde Community Park, San Juan Island

Event Highlights:

Inclusive Walks: Enjoy easy to moderate walks ranging from 1-3 miles, with frequent breaks and a slow to moderate pace to fully appreciate your surroundings.

Health Discussions: Each event begins with a brief discussion on a relevant health topic from a local health care provider.

Social Connection: Walk at your own pace and distance while engaging in conversations with island neighbors. Maybe you’ll gain a new friend or two!

What to Bring: We recommend bringing a water bottle and any snacks needed for an enjoyable walk.
