Shoreline Workshop for Local Contractors

Join local and regional shoreline experts from Friends of the San Juans, the Northwest Straits Foundation, Peninsula Environmental, the San Juan County Department of Community Development and the State Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation on Friday, January 17 from 8:30am to 2pm at the Mullis Senior Center in Friday Harbor for a FREE shoreline workshop.

Designed specifically for local landscape professionals, arborists, drainage specialists, excavation services, designers, and contractors, this workshop will focus on the latest best practices, current shoreline rules and provide details on the technical and financial resources available for restoration, vegetation, and drainage improvement projects on marine shoreline properties in the islands.

International Society of Arboriculture Continuing Education credits will be available for qualified professionals. Lunch will be provided, and stipends are available to those who qualify.
