Four Rouen ducklings are the heroes in Lopez children’s author Jan Crossen’s latest book, Superpowered Ducks. This is the story of four baby ducklings that were acquired to protect the family’s garden from unwanted slugs and insects.

“At first, I had no idea just how amazing ducks were,” said Crossen. “Now I know they’re absolutely incredible! They practically have super powers! Did you know that some ducks can even change their gender?”

Ducks are entertaining and so is this story, which is part of Crossen’s Farm Adventures Series for readers ages 7-107. This book will amuse and teach some pretty fascinating facts about ducks, Mother Nature, and life on the farm.
