Support The Stewardship Network of the San Juan’s Tribal Relations Engagement Group: Elevating Indigenous Voices and Collaborative Stewardship in the San Juan Islands

Submitted by the Stewardship Network of the San Juans

The Stewardship Network of the San Juans is excited to announce its participation in the 2024 SJI Cares Fair Giving Campaign. We aim to raise $5,000 to support the Tribal Relations Engagement Group which is dedicated to elevating Indigenous voices, promoting collaborative stewardship, and fostering meaningful action throughout the San Juan Islands.

The Stewardship Network is a coalition of over 25 diverse organizations, united by a commitment to protecting the region’s unique ecosystems and honoring its rich Indigenous history, from past to present.

Established last year as a focus group within the Stewardship Network, the Tribal Relations Engagement Group provides a platform for organizations to learn, collaborate, and support Indigenous interests. Your donation will help us create impactful events, resources, and partnerships that honor Indigenous communities and promote effective, non-performative allyship.

How to Donate:

This campaign is part of the San Juan Island Community Foundation’s 2024 SJI Cares Fair Giving Campaign, where the first $1,000 in donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Community Foundation. SNSJ is also eligible for up to $2,500 in bonus grants awarded throughout the fair.

To be eligible for matching funds, donations must be made during the four days of the 2024 County Fair – Aug. 15–18.
