Third Annual Unicorn Day on Saturday, April 6

For the last two years, little unicorns have been coming to the Lopez Library to celebrate National Unicorn Day. Last year over a hundred little unicorns paraded through Lopez Village before having a big unicorn party.

This year, for the third year in a row, little unicorns will again parading through Lopez Village at 5 pm on Saturday, April 6 to coincide with First Saturday Art Walk. The Unicorn Day Party will be held at Lopez Center for Community and the Arts as a bigger venue to host this all ages event. Kids and families are invited to arrive at 4 pm already in costume, or build their own unicorn horns and rainbow tails at the interactive workshop tables and engage in unicorn themed activities. Please bring a favorite “Unicorn Food” to share for the Unicorn Potluck following the parade.

At 5 pm, the kids and their parents are invited to join the Unicorn Parade which will go though Lopez Village, stopping at the Lopez Library to receive stickers and applause, then circle back to the LCCA for a Unicorn Food Potluck and live music dance party. This year the parade is synchronized with First Saturday Art Walk, so on lookers are invited to go to their favorite restaurant or pub to watch this adorable sight.

Community members of all ages are then invited to don colorful unicorn or magical themed costumes or just come as they are for a free, high energy dance party DJed by Kid Ridiculous from 7-9 pm at the LCCA. For more information, please visit www.lopezlibrary.org.
