Lopez Island’s Jason Kramer has graced the January 2025 cover of Pumper magazine.

The story details Kramer’s business philosophy and approach to serving the San Juan Islands, where he has owned and operated A1 Septic since 2017.

“I had a short article in the magazine already, and that one came about because of the administrator of the Washington On-site Septic Association, who recommended me as somebody interesting to interview just because of working in the islands and the special challenges that we have,” he said.

The magazine is based in Wisconsin and serves owners and managers of businesses that maintain and install residential and commercial septic systems, rent and service portable restrooms.

In the January 2025 article, Kramer shares the details of his interest in the industry and how he’s approached serving the San Juans.
