Antique John Deer Tractor Tour

What:

Antique John Deere Two-Cylinder Tractors will come from Skagit and Whatcom counties for the sixth, and perhaps the last, tour of Lopez Island. These tractors and owners plus family and friends have enjoyed this tour of Lopez Island beginning in year 2004. Tour is a special event sponsored by the Cascade Two-Cylinder Club. Tractor owners, many of whom have farming backgrounds have restored these old tractors, mostly from the late 1940s and through the 1950s to like-new condition.

Where:

Lopez Island. Tractors and guests will enjoy the tour and luncheon in Lopez Village. Tractors will on public display during mid-day at the Lopez Community Center. Local volunteer helpers provide traffic control at intersections and the local sheriff deputy periodically checks the progress.

Rest stops include a visit to Spencer Spit State Park and a visit to the Land Trust Preserve on the Peninsula.

Tour Schedule:

10:15 a.m. – Arrival ferry from Anacortes.

10:30 a.m. – Start engines, begin parade.

10:45–11:15 a.m. – Spencer Spit State Park for rest stop and visit Spencer Spit.

11:45 a.m. Start parade en-route to Lopez Village via Cross Road. to Military Road. to Lopez Road.

12:15–12:30 p.m. – Arrive Lopez Village. Tractors will be on public display during lunchtime.

12:30–2:15 p.m. – Guests are invited to enjoy lunch available from an assortment of restaurants, delis, Village Market or bring-your-own and to explore Saturday Market and other shops, or explore the Historic Museum or take a stroll around the area.

2:15 p.m. – Round-trip sight-seeing tour to the peninsula via Fisherman Bay Road and Bayshore Road.

3 p.m. – Drive to historic Land Bank Preserve via Peninsula Road.

4:15 p.m. – Return to village via Bayshore Road and Fisherman Bay Road.

4:30 p.m. – Depart for ferry landing.

6:15 p.m. – Ferry departs to Anacortes.
