Evening Meals at School: 5:30–7 p.m. Be a part of this festive community gathering that supports local, seasonal, and sustainably grown food from island farms. A kid-friendly option of plain grains and raw vegetables and a wheat-free version of the dessert are available at every meal. This is a donations-only event. Music and senior lunch: Woodman Hall, 11 a.m. Lavelle Foos shows and plays her Native American flutes, lunch will be served at noon. $4 for people over 60, and $6 for anybody younger.
Computer Training: Drop-ins welcome, Lopez Library 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Free basic computer skills each Friday morning. Learn about all the keys on your keyboard and how they operate in Windows. Learn about your mouse. Learn about searching the world wide web and your own library’s information. Learn to create documents, save, print and search them. Classes will be tailored around those who attend the class each week.

A Tribute to the Writing Life of Leta Marshall: 7:30 p.m., Lopez Center for Community and the Arts. Members of her writing group will read several pieces of Leta`s diverse writing work, ranging from newspaper articles to memoir essays about her life to short fiction. Admission: by donation.

Community Contra and Square Dance: 7:30 p.m. Lopez Center for Community and the Arts. All dances will be taught and called by Laura Me Smith of Seattle.
