Acoustic performance by Shae Fiol: 7 p.m., Woodmen Hall, Fisherman Bay Road. Includes a Salsa Dance and Dance lesson. DJ salsa music and lesson provided by Raul Fiol and Ileana Rowe. Suggested donation for adults is $10. Singer/songwriter Shae Fiol, the daughter of Lopez residents Beth Geever and Bruce Ellestad, is performing her second tour of the Pacific Northwest. She’ll be playing solo acoustic renditions from her debut album “Catch a Ride” which features production by Grammy award winning producers Stuart Matthewman (Sade, Maxwell) and Rockwilder (Moulin Rouge, Beyonce). Shae was recently named a finalist for Best New Artist of 2009 by SoulTracks online magazine.

Evening Meals at School: 5:30–7 p.m. Be a part of this festive community gathering that supports local, seasonal, and sustainably grown food from island farms. A kid-friendly option of plain grains and raw vegetables and a wheat-free version of the dessert are available at every meal. This is a donations-only event. Lopez Island Lions Club: Food Drive 10 a.m.–6 p.m. At the Lopez Village Market To celebrate “LIONS DAY” in the San Juans and 35 years of service on Lopez Island, the Lopez Island Lions Club will be holding a food drive for the Lopez Food Bank. Please bring your donations of non-perishable food items, soaps, and paper products for the drive. (Financial contributions for the Lopez Food Bank will also be accepted.)
