As of press time, 1,700 ballots were left to be counted. According to the San Juan County Elections Office staff of 14,725 registered voters and ballots sent, 48% of those ballots were returned. The results are as follows:
Orcas had one levy, while Lopez had two on their ballot. The Orcas levy failed, however, both Lopez levies passed.
Fire Protection District No. 2 (Orcas) Proposition No. 1 – Restoring Regular Property Tax Levy failed by 74.88% (1,055) to 25.12% (354)
San Juan County Public Hospital District #2 (Lopez) Proposition No. 1 – Restoring Regular Property Tax Levy passed by 64.12% (583) to
35.79 % (325)
Lopez Solid Waste Disposal District Proposition No. 1 – Excess Property Tax Levy for 2024 passed 83.77% (774) to 16.23% (150)
