Oh Great….

A brand new Solar Flare Cycle has officially begun. NASA has announced that on January 4, a new reversed polarity sunspot appeared, announcing a new 11-year cycle of solar flares. What does this mean astrologically? It means that everything is amped up. As we move into this cycle, we will see not only the physical disruptions of cellular and GPS devices; we will also see emotions flare, conflict begin and a new cycle of global activity that announces the long-standing resentments between entire nations.

The last cycle peaked between 2000 and 2002. We all know what went on then. Now we await the next chapter.

Don’t rely so much on advanced technology. It won’t be reliable. Use the ancient paper and pen method of recording important things, and keep a map handy, or learn how to read one! Don’t get caught unawares just because your electronic device failed. We aren’t Borg (yet).

This is going to be a very, very interesting time, and we’re in it together! Those of you in northern latitudes will enjoy the Aurora Borealis once again. Keep your eyes to the skies!

Aries (March 21- April 19): In your area of work you should have quite a bit of leverage now. With luck-bringing Jupiter firmly ensconced in your sector of career bolstered by a couple of other planets, you are very focused on furthering yourself in the work place. You’re having fun doing it, too! Be sure to get all contracts out of the way this week since Mercury goes retrograde next week.

Taurus (April 20 — May 20): Some unexpected events may occur in your work place since busy Mercury and elusive Neptune both occupy that sector in your solar chart; they are in unpredictable Aquarius, bringing a sense of unease all the way around. You like stability and security, and changes make you uncomfortable. This is not necessarily bad news though; it could easily be going the other way, bringing you a raise or promotion!

Gemini (May 21- June 20): With your Ruler Mercury sailing through quirky, unpredictable Aquarius and snuggling up to elusive Neptune in Aquarius, you may be tempted to engage in “creative truth telling.” Your own experience should demonstrate that in the long run that’s not a wise thing to do. Authority figures are prominent in your life now, and if you don’t have a clean slate they may take notice and action.

Cancer (June 21 — July 22): Whatever resolutions you made, they are being put to good use already! Good for you! With so much loaded up in your sector of relationship, you are turning your attention to your true priorities. Listen to words from the wise, but don’t let them replace your own wisdom. Strike the balance.

Leo (July 23 — August 22): Holy cow, you are off and running! As certain planets shift and change signs you’ll find yourself on solid ground again for the first time in a few years. If you did your homework and worked on self-improvement in any way, you are seeing results, and you love results! Enjoy your gains and reward yourself!

Virgo (August 23 — September 21): You find the earth under your feet now as benevolent Jupiter makes its presence felt in your sector of creativity and self-expression. This trend will be amplified as we move on toward February, and you are in fine shape to move forward in your journey. Don’t forget to practice gratitude; when things come easily it’s easy to lapse into taking things for granted. Don’t do that.

Libra (September 22 — October 23): What is “home” to you? You might experience a longing that is difficult to put into words. This is a true calling of the soul, and it comes from deep within you. Create it; make your environment conducive to answering that call then watch the magic happen! Since it is often difficult for you to focus, placing eye and ear candy in your immediate environs will help.

Scorpio (October 24- November 22): A whole new ball game start now, and you are poised and at the ready to be of service. You are gaining solid ground, which your nature requires in order for you to be at your best. That’s all that’s called for now. Do and be your best. If something has you hacked off, let it go. None of us need baggage now.

Sagittarius (November 23 — December 20): It’s been a while since you’ve had that quivering anticipation of good things to come, but now is the time! You’ve been in unstable terrain for a while, and things are beginning to come together. Relax into it, check it out, find the friendly people and keep putting one proud foot in front of the other. You’re about to hit pay dirt so don’t go flying off on a tangent and distract yourself away from it.

Capricorn (December 21 — January 21): You don’t like being in the spotlight, but you’re there and you will be there for quite some time to come. Put on your best clothes and look good! If you’re an older Cappie, go for the distinguished look. You will gain more credibility and be all the happier for it!

Aquarius (January 22 — February 20): Changes are in the air, and they are not just political. They are about you! If things are being removed from your life it’s because space is being made for you to expand into. As authority around you changes and you are tempted to buck the system, do it in a way that won’t bite you in the behind later. You are such a whimsical soul; remain incorrigible but in a way that won’t hurt you!

Pisces (February 21 — March 20): More than ever, your circle of friends is there for you. You are so lucky! Now listen: Don’t be needy! Be grateful and find your own level. This isn’t a time to be a quivering mess; it’s time for you to step up to the plate and inject that unique magic that only your sign has. Find it for yourself every day, and then emanate it however you can. It will be effortless.
