It’s that time of the year again, time for the Lopez Cooperative Preschool’s Holiday Bazaar.
This year the bazaar will be held on Nov. 27, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the high school gym, and will feature the work of over 70 artisans and crafters.
Homemade baked goods will be for sale, and there will be the opportunity to have your photo taken with Santa.
Due to the support of local businesses and individuals, the preschool raffle has a quick growing list of prizes. Raffle tickets are available at the bazaar as well as from parents at the Lopez Village Market in the days leading up to the event.
The Holiday Bazaar is the primary fundraiser for the preschool, and proceeds go towards operating costs and providing scholarships for families in need. After scholarships, the money is used for the classroom enrichment programs and materials. Vendors donate 15 percent of their profits to the preschool, and the event is organized entirely by parents who have their children enrolled in the preschool program.
The event is a opportunity to do a little early holiday shopping while having a good time with other islanders.
