Lilly Ewert of Lopez Island, currently a Lopez High School student, has been accepted by Youth for Understanding USA (YFU) as an international high school exchange student. Lilly Ewert will travel abroad to live with a host family and participate in a cultural immersion experience on the 2009 YFU Semester to Germany.
Lilly Ewert will become one of the more than 225,000 young people, from around the world, who have participated in an exchange program with Youth for Understanding. YFU USA works with international partners in more than 60 countries and offers summer, semester and year-long educational programs to destinations in Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, and Latin America.
