Each fall the Lopez Artist Guild sponsors a $1,000 grant for members. Grant monies can be for equipment, training, or materials to assist artistic growth. This year we divided the grant monies to support Brenna Jael Nies, a multimedia artist, for book binding equipment; Janet Yang a jewelry, textile and multimedia artist, to attend an India Flint workshop; and Sara Waugh a mixed media and painting artist, for materials to help learn new painting techniques. The next application for Lopez Artist Guild grants will be in October.

The Lopez Artist Guild is also proud to sponsor the Shirley Wright scholarship for graduating Lopez Seniors planning to attend an accredited art program. The deadline for applying is May 15.
