It’s that time again of year again – time for the Lopez Cooperative Preschool’s Holiday Bazaar.
This year the Bazaar will be held on Saturday, Nov. 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the high school gym, and will feature the work of over 70 artisans and crafters, many of whom are new to the event this year. Delicious homemade foods and baked goods will be for sale, and there will be entertainment throughout the day.
Thanks to the generous support of local businesses and individuals, the preschool raffle has a quickly growing list of prizes. Raffle tickets are available at the bazaar as well as from volunteers located at Lopez Village Market in the days leading up to the event.
The holiday bazaar is the primary fundraiser for the preschool, and proceeds go towards operating costs and providing scholarships for families in need. After scholarships, the money is used for classroom enrichment programs and materials. Vendors donate 15 percent of their profits to the preschool, and the event is organized entirely by volunteers, most of whom have children enrolled in the preschool program.
This bazaar is a wonderful opportunity to do a little early holiday shopping while having a good time with your neighbors. So remember, come early and shop ‘til you drop – locally!
