Eric Kulp was released from Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and will soon be in the custody of the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office, according to Sheriff Ron Krebs. Kulp, 44, is charged with second-degree murder for the death of his wife Abigail Finney in November. Finney, 38, was found concealed in a minivan at the couple’s Shaw Island home on April 5.
Two deputies are being sent to King County to retrieve Kulp on Thursday, May 17, who will be transported to Friday Harbor. Kulp will go in front of San Juan County Superior Court Judge Kathryn Loring at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 18. Prosecuting Attorney Randy Gaylord has requested that Kulp’s bail is set at $1 million. Kulp has no previous criminal history according to court documents.
