In the first quarter of the new year, your island papers are producing two special sections.
The 2019 Health and Wellness Guide features ads and listings from local medical and health-related businesses. You can find services from general practitioners to optometrists to acupuncture to massage.
We insert the guide into the Sounder, Journal and Weekly and distribute it year-round to the medical offices, chambers, hotels and spas. It publishes Feb. 20.
The 2019 Book of the San Juans is one of two glossy, full color magazines that we print. It is one of our award-winning publications, and is available on all the ferries and the Anacortes terminal and hotels, resorts, parks, chamber offices across western Washington. It also online for the year on all three of our websites.
The Book includes everything you need to know about relocating to San Juan County. We write stories about the real estate market, the history of our county, educational opportunities, weather patterns and government structure. Realtors, medical centers, contractors, landscapers, architects, schools and stores also advertise in the section. It’s a great way to reach a huge audience on the mainland as well as locals, who often pick up the magazine while on the ferries.
Previous editions of these publications can be found in the green edition section of our website, www.islandsweekly.com.
Why you should advertise in print
According to the International News Media Organization, “Newspapers, both print and digital, offer key benefits to advertisers that are not delivered by other media options. They are powerful and present advertisers with the opportunity to deliver messages in a trusted, engaging environment.”
Here are some reasons to spend your money in our products.
• Readers trust the ads.
• Readers want the ads.
• Influencers — a segment of the population that holds sway with family and friends — read newspapers.
• Newspaper ads are engaging.
