This fall, the Lopez Island Family Resource Center will run a series of classes about running a small business.
Class will be held on Monday evenings from 5:15-7:15 p.m. at the Lopez Library beginning Sept. 27 .
The program is open to all San Juan County residents and class times have been scheduled to coincide with the ferries.
The course will cover the basics of how to start a small business as well as what it takes to keep a business sustainable. It is geared to individuals considering starting a business as well as already existing small businesses whose owners are interested in learning more about business basics.
The class will begin with personal finance, organization, and self-evaluation and apply these fundamentals toward developing a business plan.
This class has been very popular, and space is limited, so call LIFRC 468-4117 to inquire about space availability. Registration packets are required in advance and are available online @ www.lifrc.org or by calling the Resource Center @ 468-4117. There is a $35 fee for the class, some scholarship funding is available for those needing financial assistance. Registration packets are due no later than Sept. 22.
