Puppets on the Rock! Proudly presents “The Adventures of Sinbad” by Oregon Shadow Theatre, February 28th at 2pm at the Lopez Center for Community and the Arts. After taking Lopez audiences to Italy in November and to China in January, we continue our tour around the world through puppet theater with this tale from Persia.

From the depths of misfortune to the heights of glory, Sinbad the Sailor shares his stories based on the Arabian Nights. Witness his adventures of encounters with giant birds, sea monsters and a valley of glittering diamonds guarded by serpents! Spectacular, colorful shadow puppets are accompanied by live music on the santoor and the darbuka and an array of special effects to weave a spell in this magnificent tall tale from the Middle East.

On Feb. 27th, Oregon Shadow Theatre will do a lecture-demonstration for the Lopez School as part of the community outreach of this series.
