The Whale Museum’s “Black & White Night” Dinner Event

Friday Harbor, Wash. – On Thursday, December 17, 2009, there will be a Delicious Dinner Event! The Whale Museum’s “Black and White Night” will be held at Friday Harbor House on San Juan Island. The unique dinner event will feature Chef Greg Atkinson, noted author and culinary instructor as well as former chef of the Friday Harbor House. Also featured is Jason Codding, the Chef behind the new Bluff Restaurant.

The event is a progressive dinner beginning with a reception in The Bluff Restaurant. Dinner will be served in the San Juan Room. The evening will conclude with a Dessert Celebration in the Gallery at The Whale Museum. The gourmet menu features: Taylors Farms Oysters with frozen Raspberry Mignotte; Gougeres with Arugula; Thai-Style Prawns; Butternut Squash Mousse Bouchée; Killer Squash Bisque; Mixed Greens Salad with Cranberry Vinaigrette; Four Bean Pot Pie; Alaska Halibut with Winter Vegetables & Aioli; Braised Ox Tail with Gnocchi; Greg’s Faux-Reos, Tuxedo Fudge, and Coconut Macaroons. Autographed memento recipe booklets will be given to each attendee.

Sponsors of the event include: Friday Harbor House, Harbor Insurance, Islanders Bank, Islanders Insurance, Northwest Totem Cellars, and Swanberg-Judkins Insurance.

The cost is $75 per person which includes the reception with cash bar, sit down dinner with wine from Northwest Totem Cellars, and a dessert celebration. Seating is limited.
