The Lopez Island Chamber of Commerce is excited to host the 19th Annual Tour de Lopez on Saturday, April 26. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just looking for a fun, family-friendly outing, this non-competitive ride is the perfect way to explore the stunning landscapes of Lopez Island.
With four routes to choose from (5, 12, 17 and 31 miles), riders of all levels can enjoy the island at their own pace. Along the way, you’ll find rest areas stocked with fresh fruit, Holly B’s bakery treats, water and cheerful support to keep you energized. After your ride, relax and refuel at a festive picnic lunch featuring live music and a fair-like atmosphere with local artisans’ wares available.
This year, we’re proud to feature original artwork by local artist Laine Nichols, celebrating the unique charm of Lopez Island. Proceeds from the event will support the upkeep of Village Park, including its donation-based shower and restroom facilities, as well as a planned revitalization project. This project aims to add a covered picnic area and, in the future, a natural children’s play space for all to enjoy.
Spots are limited to 900 riders, and registration fills up quickly — don’t miss out! Routes open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 3 p.m. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Register today at www.lopezisland.com and join us for an unforgettable day of cycling, community and island beauty. We can’t wait to see you there!
