Fletcher attended the University of Washington, graduating in 2019 with a major in environmental science: wildlife conservation. He has since worked as a field biologist for the National Park Service in Denali National Park, Alaska, and the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service at remote locales in the tropical Pacific. His work will next take him to Tinian Island in the Northern Mariana Islands where he will conduct field research on an endangered species of bird, the Tinian Monarch.
